Pomp Looked Tanjung Priok Station

         
One of the destinations in 12 coastal tourist route is the Tanjung Priok Station. The station is very large and stately, and full of history. Pay a visit to Cape Priok Station and take a look at this historic station.

Tanjung Priok station was built in 1914. Construction of the station was designed by Ir. CW Koch, an engineer from Spoorwagen Staats, state railway company the Dutch East Indies.

Tanjung Priok station was closed for nine years and reopened on 13 April 2009. This station has been renovated while maintaining its original form. Many interesting stories about this station, reported the existence of an underground tunnel which is said to Onrust Island. However, there has not been proven because until now still not revealed.

Art deco style building is absolutely stunning, has a hall which was once a place in the days of dancing to the Dutch masters and noni. Iron-steel roof was truly extraordinary, to cause admiration of our president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
